Liner Recycling

When an oil field pit is being decommissioned, there is the question of what to do with the geosynthetic liner. Each year nearly 16 million pounds of liners go into landfills in Western Canada.

To address this issue Scorpion Containment Solutions, along with our recycling partners, have developed a revolutionary program that keeps the liner out of the landfill, and produces a useful end product.

Geosynthetic Liner Recycling Process

In our process, the liner is harvested, cleaned, shipped, processed into regrind and delivered as a plastic pellet. The resin produced from the recycled liner will go back into making new products such as recycle bins and containers in various applications.

We’re proud we can provide our customers a full circle of services from installation to recycling.
